About.

Batlow CiderFest is a colourful street party celebrating the end of the apple harvest and the best boutique ciders from around Australia and those brewed locally.

Growers, producers, locals and their visitors enjoy some hard-earned down time after the long months of cultivating, growing, picking and packing, before winter sets in on the Snowy Valleys.

It’s a street party not to be missed. Two stages host local talent and market stalls offer boutique ciders, gourmet food, locally grown produce, and tempting homemade treats.

Set in Batlow’s main street the atmosphere sizzles with buskers and street theatre including a troupe of home-grown Apple Tarts who lead the dance.

Against a backdrop of trees in glorious autumn colours, the aroma of food from around the globe and of course, the sound of fresh cider being poured in clear mountain air stirs the senses.

Come the day before! Join in the Back to Nature conference and hands on workshop; or enrol in a ‘Taste and Learn’ session where experienced craft cider makers will guide you through the world of real craft ciders.

On Sunday join their local hand-crafted cider makers on cidery and orchard visits; or learn about dowsing and try it yourself.
