About.

The Khancoban Fishing Challenge is a wonderful activity for this Easter School Holidays. The Khancoban Angling Club has been growing this annual fishing event since taking over from the Troutfest Committee in 2013. With a focus on promoting new and returning visitors, we encourage all types of fishers to get involved. We invite everyone to not only enjoy our great fishing, but also the host of other activities our region has to offer.

Running from 2nd to 17th April, this competition invites fishers to try their luck in the streams and dams throughout the area, including:

  • Khancoban Pondage,
  • Geehi Reservoir,
  • Khancoban Creek
  • the Swampy Plains River – a blue-ribbon trout stream.

With great support from local businesses its a great opportunity to showcase the Region and its wonderful attributes.
