Mouat’s Farm
About.
Mouats Farm Shop offers you farm fresh produce such as cherries, apples and other fruits in season, plus fresh free range eggs, home made jams and more.
Located four kilometres north of Batlow, Mouat’s Farm ‘Wyola’ was originally planted as an orchard in the early 1920s. Apples comprise 90 per cent of their plantings, and there are 1,200 cherry trees, and a small amount of stone fruit and berries.
In January 2020, Mouat’s Farm experienced significant damage from the Black Summer bushfires. While their house remained standing, a shed gone, two tractors ,the sprayer and bobcat were lost. Some of their fruit blocks were devastated, with considerable damage to the protective nets of other blocks. The Mouats showed their considerable resilience and have reopened, once again providing in-season produce through their Batlow farm gate store.
Bring your #EmptyEsky to be filled with some of the tastiest apples and fresh in-season produce to be found. This is a perfect spot to stop while driving the Snowy Valleys Way touring route between Gundagai, NSW and Beechworth, Vic.
